And some years ago, a 3 year old friend started calling me “Lil-Jes”. It may have become my alter ego, my Instagram name, and now… my photography brand.

I’m an Aries with a propensity for being near (in) water. Raised on Michigan’s west coast, I have wandered away and back again several times.

I mostly reside in Traverse City, MI. I spend my time photographing people and events, volunteering as a Board member for Up North Pride, scooting to the beach in the summer for dips, and hiking, sweating in a sauna, or hibernating entirely in the winter.

I think we all need more love, nature, and art in any form.

Photography is my art. It feeds me and if it can delight others through me, all the better.

I have been photographing weddings, families, businesses, and many other moments professionally since 2012.
